I finally had that one good week in the shop after months of garbage luck
Last Tuesday I walked in and the CNC lathe was actually holding tolerance. First time in like 3 weeks. Then Wednesday I found a NOS insert pack for $15 at a local surplus place. Thursday I finished a job 2 hours early. Friday I cleaned out the chip bin without it jamming the dumpster. Saturday a regular paid me cash for a rush job. No breakdowns no crashes no stupid mistakes. Whole week just clicked. Has anyone else had a week where everything lined up without trying?

Hold up. NOS insert pack for fifteen bucks? That's not just luck, that's like finding a winning lottery ticket in a dumpster. I had a month like that once back in '19, everything just clicked for four straight weeks, and I still think about it like a ghost story. Your week sounds almost too good to be true, especially the part about the chip bin not jamming. That thing is cursed at my shop. What kind of inserts were they? If they were something useful like CNMG or WNMG, I'd be ready to fight you for that deal.

Maybe that chip bin only cooperates because the universe knew you were already getting a steal on those inserts. Fifteen bucks is still fifteen bucks though, even for NOS if they're an oddball size nobody actually uses on the regular.
