TIL that fake job posting in my town was just a front for a timeshare pitch masquerading as a "customer service" role
I walked into their "office" in a strip mall off Route 1 last Thursday and they tried to sell me a vacation package before mentioning the actual job, so has anyone else seen this same trick at that complex?

That's just good business sense on their part honestly. A timeshare pitch is a real job opportunity for people who are good at sales, they just frame it as customer service to get you in the door. If you can't handle a little bait and switch then you probably wouldn't last in a commission based role anyway.

Depends on how you look at it but @abbyd36 that seems like a pretty normal sales tactic to me not some huge scam.
