Read a recruiter's LinkedIn post saying 'ghosting candidates is just part of the business' and I lost it

I saw this HR manager from a company in Phoenix brag about ignoring 200 applicants after a job posting closed. She said it saves time to not reply to anyone who doesn't make the first cut. Has anyone else had a recruiter just vanish after three rounds of interviews without a word?

Keep a paper trail if you ever need to escalate it to their boss.

I gotta push back a little on this one. I've done hiring before and yeah it's a lot of work, but "saves time" isn't the same as "treats people with basic decency." When my team closed a listing for a warehouse lead last year, I sent a quick two-sentence rejection to every single person who applied. Took maybe 20 minutes total - not exactly a day off my life. If someone went through three rounds of interviews and then got silence, that's just lazy management, not some unavoidable part of the business. Those people spent hours prepping and taking time off their jobs for you.
