Am I the only one who thinks these "too good to be true" remote jobs are actually getting harder to spot?
I saw three posts this week about a data entry gig offering $45 an hour from a company called "Apex Digital Solutions", and everyone jumped to call it a scam. But my nephew actually works for a legit logistics firm that uses that exact name for their overflow data team, and he started at $38 an hour with benefits. Has anyone here actually applied to one of these and found it was real, or are we just assuming everything with a high rate is fake now?

Honestly, your nephew working for Apex Digital Solutions is interesting but that company name is super generic. There's like twenty different "Apex Digital Solutions" out there, and most of them are front for scams. I almost fell for one asking for a "processing fee" for a "background check" that was just a PayPal link. The $45/hr data entry thing is way too specific and widespread to all be real, probably just one clever scam using a common name.

Oh man, my own track record is so bad with this lmao. I once applied to a "remote executive assistant" gig paying $50 an hour, got super excited when they sent me a welcome packet, and then realized the "interview" was just a Google Form that asked for my bank details for "direct deposit setup." I actually filled it out halfway before my husband yelled from the other room that I was being an idiot. But then last year I did get a legit $35/hour data entry job from a small company called "CloudStream Analytics" that everyone on Reddit swore was a scam because the rate was too high. Turns out they were just a startup trying to poach people fast. So now I'm just confused and bad at everything lol.
