I finally paid off my last credit card from 2019 today

It was only a $1,200 balance on a store card from Best Buy for a laptop I bought in November 2019. I had been paying the minimum for like 4 years and the interest was brutal, probably added another $500 on top of it. What finally made it click was overhearing a guy at work talking about how he paid off his truck loan by just throwing an extra $50 a week at it. So I started doing the same thing, $20 a week extra on this card, and it finally died this morning. Felt weird to see the zero balance in the app, like a weight off my shoulders. Has anyone else had a small debt just hang around way longer than it should have because you weren't paying attention?

Man that's awesome... I had a gym membership that I forgot about for like two years, kept charging me $40 a month for a place I never stepped foot in. Finally canceled it last month and felt the same way, like why did I let that sit so long.

Feel you on that one. I had a subscription box thing I signed up for during a weak moment, charged me $25 a month for a year before I noticed. That's like $300 down the drain for stuff I didn't even want. It's wild how easy it is to let those auto-payments slide, especially when you're busy. Glad you finally cut it loose though, that weight off your shoulders is real. What made you finally check your statements?
