Hot take: that ghost in my backseat was just a loose seatbelt buckle

Last Tuesday night around 11pm I was driving home on highway 17 near Santa Cruz. Kept hearing this clicking noise from the backseat and seeing movement in my rearview mirror. Freaked me out so bad I almost pulled over on the shoulder. Turned out the passenger side belt buckle was dangling and hitting the plastic trim every time I hit a bump. The reflection from passing headlights made the shadow look like a hand reaching up. Now I always buckle every strap before I drive, even empty seats. But honestly I'm still a little jumpy at night on that stretch of road. Has anyone else thought their car was haunted but it turned out to be something dumb like a loose cup holder?

Oh man, I feel this one hard. I used to think my old Civic had a ghost in the trunk because I kept hearing this weird tapping sound every time I went over railroad tracks. Turns out the plastic cover over the spare tire well was loose and smacking against the metal. I fixed it with a couple of zip ties and haven't heard it since. But for like two weeks I was legit scared to drive that road at night.

Remember that time I was convinced my apartment was haunted because my closet door kept creaking open at 3am. Turned out I was just shoving too many hoodies in there and the hanger rod was slowly slipping out of its bracket. Fixed it with a bent paperclip and felt like a total idiot for sleeping with the lights on for a week. My cat probably thought I lost my mind, staring at the closet like it was gonna eat me.
