I was dead wrong about the Pixel A series being overhyped junk

After three years of swearing by my OnePlus Nord for the fast charging, I caved and grabbed a Pixel 8a last month for $499 and the camera actually makes me want to take photos of my dog instead of just sending blurry texts, has anyone else given up on a brand they defended for years?

Hold up, you actually gave up the Nord fast charging? That 65W warp charge was the main reason I stuck with OnePlus for two years, I used to brag about it to anyone who'd listen while they waited for their phones to hit 50%. The Pixel 8a tops out at what, 18W wired? Going from a full charge in 30 minutes to over an hour must feel like stepping back in time. My buddy switched from a Nord 2 to a 7a and almost returned it day one because he forgot to plug it in before bed and woke up to 15%.

@phoenixb66 hear you on the Warp charge speed being amazing, but honestly after a few weeks with the Pixel 8a I kinda stopped caring. The battery life is good enough that a quick top-off before leaving works for me, and overnight charging is way more relaxed now. Have you tried using battery share or any wireless pads to make up for the slower wired speed?
