Visual guides brought more eyes to my vintage radio blog

I recently started a blog about restoring vintage radios. To attract readers, I shared posts on hobby forums and social media. I saw that posts with detailed photos of the restoration steps got much more attention. So, I made sure to include plenty of pictures in every update. This focus on visual content really helped grow my audience. Has anyone else used similar methods for niche projects? I'd love to hear your stories.

Pictures are key for niche stuff.

Pictures must be super important for finding the right parts, right? I bet a lot of those old radios need specific tubes or dials that you can only identify by sight. Do people share photos to get help with wiring or just to show off a finished restore? It seems like a visual hobby from start to finish. What's the most common thing people have to take a picture of to ask for help with?

Restoring vintage radios? I had no idea that was still a thing.
