Found a way to save $50 on my septic pumping last month

My neighbor down the road told me to call the county waste office instead of searching online, and they gave me a list of licensed pumpers with fixed rates. The guy I picked charged $200 instead of the $250 I saw advertised everywhere. Has anyone else tried going through your local govt office for service leads?

And yall sleeping on the county waste office for real. They gotta keep that list updated so they know who's legit, plus the rates are usually set so you don't get scammed. I called mine for a paint disposal rec and ended up saving like thirty bucks on drop off fees too.

Used to roll my eyes at people saying to call the county for stuff like this, but you just saved me fifty bucks next time mine needs done.
