Tried a DIY eviction notice template from online. Big mistake.

I used a free eviction notice template I found on some legal website last month to kick out a tenant who hadn't paid rent in 2 months. Filed it with the court in Scarborough and the judge threw it out because the wording didn't match Ontario's Residential Tenancies Act exactly. Cost me $200 in filing fees and another 3 weeks of waiting while the tenant trashed the place. The landlord rep at the courthouse said those generic templates are basically worthless here. Has anyone else got burned by using online forms instead of just paying a paralegal up front?

Getting screwed"? That article sounded like a regular Tuesday for landlords to me.
