That legal document service online turned out to be a complete waste of $120
I needed a simple will done for my property in Mississauga and figured an online template service would save money over a lawyer. Paid $120 for a package that claimed to be Ontario compliant, but when I showed it to a friend who practices law, she pointed out three errors in the witness clause. Ended up paying a paralegal $250 to fix it all proper. Has anyone else had trouble with those cheap online legal forms?

I get that it's frustrating you had to pay extra to fix it, but I actually had a fine experience with a similar service for my own will. Maybe it depends on how simple your situation is? Mine was just a standard will for leaving everything to my spouse, and the template worked out fine after I double-checked a couple of things myself.

But your situation worked out fine doesn't change the fact these forms can have real legal errors.
