Compared tailored resumes vs. spray and pray apps and the numbers shocked me
I spent two months last summer just blasting my generic resume to every remote marketing gig I saw on LinkedIn. Got maybe 3 callbacks out of 80 applications. Then I switched to editing my resume for each job, pulling key words right from their posting. In the next 30 days with 15 tailored apps I got 4 interviews and one offer. Has anyone else seen a bigger gap between these two methods than I did?

You said "pulling key words right from their posting" and that's exactly where I think people mess up... they just copy paste but don't actually understand what the job needs. My question is did you just swap keywords or did you rewrite your whole bullet points to match their language? Because I've seen folks try that method and still get nowhere when they just throw in buzzwords but keep their old examples that don't fit the new role.

Got the same results when I started rewriting whole bullet points to match what they actually asked for.
