Home air quality is a huge deal for my customers now

They want systems that filter everything. Has this changed your service calls too?

Really? I'm seeing the opposite trend with my customers lately. People keep asking for the old basic filters instead, worried the high-end systems restrict airflow too much. Last week I had a client remove their HEPA setup because it made their vintage furnace struggle. Sometimes it feels like we're overcorrecting for problems that don't exist in every home.

Last year, half the homes in my neighborhood upgraded to those fancy filters. I mean, @mason.willow has a point about overcorrection, it's like how everyone bought bidets during the pandemic but then switched back. Maybe it's just me but we chase solutions without checking if we need them.

Seen both sides of this filter debate. Upgraded to a fancy one, then had airflow issues. Switched to a mid-grade option, and it's perfect. Not too restrictive, still catches dust. Key is matching the filter to your actual system needs.
