Everyone praises gig work for parents, but my sister's story says otherwise

She picked up rideshare driving to have more time with her kids. People always talk about the flexible hours like it's a dream. Honestly, she's more stressed now, skipping meals to drive, and our family fights over last-minute babysitting. I disagree that this setup helps family life... it feels like the job runs the home instead.

What good is flexibility if you're never home?

Have you read about flexibility meaning different things?

Seriously? Flexibility means you set your own hours. You can be home whenever you need. If someone's never home, that's on them, not the job. I know guys who work nights to see their kids during the day. How is that not being home?
