Avoiding work messages after six pm made a huge difference

I was always on call, and it drained me. Setting a firm stop time helped me unwind. It's wild how one tweak can improve so much.

Guess I see it different... sometimes you gotta answer after six to keep the ball rolling. Letting things pile up overnight just means more stress tomorrow.

You know, that line about things piling up overnight used to be my exact thinking too. I was always checking my phone after dinner, scared of the morning mountain. What changed for me was realizing those "urgent" replies just taught people they could reach me anytime. Letting it wait until the next morning actually made the work feel smaller, not bigger. My brain needs the full break to reset, or I'm just carrying yesterday's stress into today.

See what you mean, but letting stuff wait doesn't always make more work. A clear head in the morning often lets you solve things faster.
