Hot take: Those expensive Knipex pliers ain't worth the hype
Bought a set of Knipex cobras last month because everyone on here raves about them. The release button jammed up on me after 3 days of light use on some PVC fittings. I'll stick with my old Channellocks that cost half as much and have lasted 10 years - has anyone else had durability issues with these?

Did you try praying to the German tool gods for forgiveness? Probably a bad batch, mine have been fine for two years now but I've heard of a few lemons floating around lately. Channellocks are tanks though, can't blame you for going back to what works.

Is it just me or does everything new feel like a gamble now? Tools, appliances, even cars seem to have that same 50/50 luck factor these days.
