Back when we ignored the ache after a long day of finishing

I was just thinking about how we used to treat our bodies like they were unbreakable machines, you know? I mean, in my younger days, I'd sand and lift big pieces all day without even stretching first. Idk, maybe it's just me, but I remember finishing a heavy chest and just dragging it across the shop solo, no thought about my spine. Now, I wake up with this dull pain in my lower back that reminds me of those times. Back then, we didn't talk much about taking breaks or using proper lifting gear, which seems crazy looking back. I tweaked my shoulder once moving a soaked oak table, and it nagged me for months. These days, I see more folks chatting about back supports or swapping tips on easier ways to handle weight. Honestly, I wish we'd been more careful from the start, but hey, live and learn.

A soaked oak table weighs a ton, and you moved it solo?

That water must have added like two hundred pounds.

Moving a soaked oak table by yourself is actually insane. That wood absorbs water like a sponge, it gets crazy heavy. My back hurts just thinking about it.
