Finally got my home office corner to actually work for me

I rearranged my desk to face the window instead of the wall last week and my productivity shot up by like 40 percent. I can watch the birds and the mailman instead of staring at a blank beige wall. Never thought something that simple would make such a difference. Anyone else tried changing up their desk setup and got surprised by the results?

Wait, you actually faced your desk towards the window and it worked that well? I mean I've always heard people say to face a wall for fewer distractions so this kinda blows my mind. The bird and mailman thing sounds nice though, like a little live show while you work. Maybe it's just me but I always figured sunlight would glare on my screen and make it unreadable. Although honestly a blank beige wall does sound pretty soul crushing after a while. I might have to try this myself since I've been staring at a boring corner for like two years now.

Wait is that true about the glare? I used to think facing walls was the way to go too, but @mark611 you might be onto something since I just finally tried it and honestly my eyes feel way less tired. Guess I was overthinking the whole distraction thing all this time.
