Warning: Cutting off the brie rind starts arguments in my house

Some people swear the rind gives brie its real flavor and skipping it is a waste. I just can't handle the weird texture and bitter aftertaste, so I slice it off every time. This has caused some serious tension at family dinners. Are you team rind or team no-rind, and why?

Honestly, the rind tastes like a mistake. It’s like chewing on a piece of chalky mushroom peel. I don't get the appeal at all. If my family wants to start a civil war over some moldy cheese skin, that's their problem. I'll be over here enjoying the good part and keeping the peace. Let them have their bitter aftertaste.

Oh man, you're speaking my language. I'm the person who will happily drink pickle juice straight from the jar, but I draw the line at fuzzy cheese bark. It makes me feel like a fake foodie. My brave act falls apart the second someone offers me the 'earthy' rind and I have to pretend my mouth isn't staging a full revolt.

That fuzzy rind is actually penicillin mold, which is pretty cool.
