Spent $400 on a laser level for a big tile job and it turned into a disco
I was setting up for a herringbone pattern in a sunroom, and the client's kid had one of those spinning disco ball nightlights. The laser kept picking up the little spinning dots and throwing lines everywhere like a party. Had to shut the door and tape a towel over the bottom gap just to get a straight line. Anyone ever have their tools get confused by something totally random like that?

Honestly that sounds like a cheap laser, my DeWalt never gets fooled by disco lights.

Totally agree, cheap lasers are the worst for that. My buddy's off-brand one went nuts at a kids party last week. What do you even do when it starts dancing to the strobe lights?
