My $60 laser level from Harbor Freight died mid-project yesterday
I was marking out ceiling grid lines for a drop ceiling install in my garage at 6pm and the laser just flickered out after maybe 40 minutes of use, anyone else had their cheap tools fail at the worst possible time?

Right? 40 minutes of bliss before it all went sideways lol. Sounds like that tool was cursed from the start or something. Maybe it knew its time was limited and just gave up. Either way that's a rough way to find out you needed a plan B.
