Had a post hole digger decide to quit halfway through a job in Sacramento last week... the shear pin snapped clean and the auger just spun in place like a confused metal dog.

Was it one of those old two-man augers or a newer one-person model? That torque can be brutal on the pins.

Did you at least get a good laugh watching it spin?

Used to think the pin thing was overblown until I saw one snap mid-spin. Definitely changed my mind on that, lol.
