Working on a jacket design and had to choose between a hidden magnetic closure or traditional buttons. Went with magnets for a cleaner look, but now I'm worried about durability.

Honestly @derekhenderson, that's the real question. It feels like everything is built to look good for a year and then fall apart. You see it with phones, appliances, even car parts now. Strong magnets are great until the glue fails or the pull weakens, and then you're stuck with a fancy-looking piece of junk. We keep trading lasting power for a slick first impression.
