Shoutout to the guy who told me pockets ruin the line of a dress

I was at a design meetup in Portland last Tuesday and this dude went on a five minute rant about how functional pockets ruin women's fashion. So I spent the next three days making a wrap dress with hidden cargo pockets that don't show at all. The fabric is a medium weight linen and the pockets sit flat against the hip. Has anyone else tried to prove a point with a design?
