My fabric dye disaster at a craft fair in Austin
I was selling my hand-dyed linen tops at a local market last month when a huge rainstorm hit. The dye on my entire display rack of 15 shirts started to bleed and run together in the humidity before I could pack up. I had to quickly wrap everything in plastic and spent the next two days re-dying each piece individually in my tiny apartment bathroom. Has anyone else had a weather-related fabric catastrophe and how did you save the pieces?

Did my tie-dye phase in a Florida garage count?

Did my tie-dye phase in a Florida garage count?" Oh man, that Florida humidity probably turned that garage into a sweat lodge full of half dried dyes. At least my disaster was just a windy Texas parking lot, I bet your whole place smelled like vinegar and regret for weeks. Any tie dye that survives a Florida summer is basically a badge of honor.

Picture the rainbow puddle that must have been. Honestly, that sounds like a nightmare way to get a crash course in color theory. My only advice is to never trust Texas weather with anything you care about, especially not in a parking lot. At least you got some one-of-a-kind, storm-approved pieces out of it.
