Just realized I've been trimming hooves wrong for years after a chat with an old timer in Cheyenne.

He watched me work on a draft horse at the state fair last fall and said, 'You're fighting the foot instead of letting it tell you where to cut.' I started watching the natural wear lines more closely and my work got a lot faster. How many of you had to unlearn a bad habit you picked up early on?

My buddy used to over-tighten every bolt until a mechanic showed him the feel of it.

Over-tightening bolts isn't exactly life or death. Pretty sure we've all cranked one too far and the world kept spinning.
