Tried to refresh an old dresser with paint and it's now firewood
I learned skipping sanding steps ruins the finish, but is there any way to fix a botched DIY job without starting over?

Yeah but a wobbly leg is just a pain to deal with.

What exactly went wrong with your table, @morgan94? Sometimes those imperfections are what make a piece special. My old dresser has a deep scratch on top, but it tells a story. A wobbly leg or worn paint can give something real character that new stuff just doesn't have. I'd take a piece with honest wear over something perfect and boring any day.
