Tried a local farmers market in Austin for meal prep and failed hard

Went to the SFC Farmers Market downtown last Saturday thinking I'd save money on veggies. Grabbed a bunch of stuff that looked good but had no plan for it. Ended up with 3 bunches of kale that went bad by Tuesday because I don't even like kale. Lost about $15 on produce I tossed. Anyone else get carried away at markets and end up wasting food?

Bought a whole bag of beets once without knowing how to cook em. Oops.

Oh man Ive totally done that too with things like kohlrabi and celeriac. Got home and just stared at them like "what now?". Ended up roasting them all with olive oil and salt which actually worked out pretty good!
