My neighbor saw me throw out a full bag of clothes and asked if I ever donate.

She said, 'That's a lot of fabric going to a hole in the ground.' I looked it up and our local landfill is almost full. Now I drive my old stuff to the donation center on Oak Street every other month, even if it's a bit out of my way. Does anyone else feel guilty about trash but get lazy with the extra trip?

Consider the landfill space a win.

It's wild how we've been trained to see waste as a win. The whole system is built on that kind of thinking.

Consider the landfill space a win" is a messed up way to look at it. The real win is just buying less stuff in the first place. That's the only fix that actually works.
