Just read a study about UV exposure during facials... the numbers are wild
I was looking at some research from a skincare journal yesterday, and they measured UV rays coming through treatment room windows. Even with standard glass, a client lying near a window for a 60-minute facial can get the same UVA dose as 20 minutes of direct midday sun. I always close the blinds, but I never thought about it in actual minutes of sun exposure. It made me double-check all my room setups today. Has anyone else started using specific UV-blocking window films in their treatment spaces?

Grab some UV measuring cards from a beauty supply store, they're cheap and show you exactly what's hitting your clients. @seth_martinez21 you might find this handy too. What nobody talks about is how much reflection matters. If your treatment room has white walls or light colored furniture, that UV bounces around like crazy and hits from every angle, not just the window. I set up my room so the client's head faces away from the window entirely, then just drape a dark towel over the backrest for extra measure. It's not just about window film, it's about the whole path the light takes to get to their skin.
