I finally saw my own extraction technique on camera and cringed

A client let me film a blackhead removal on her nose last month for my training files, and when I watched it back, I was pressing way too hard with my fingers instead of using the loop tool properly. It looked painful and I'm honestly shocked she didn't complain. How do you guys make sure your pressure is right without getting feedback?

That video must have been hard to watch (I know I'd be cringing too). Honestly, the fact she didn't say anything is kind of wild to me, because pressing too hard with fingers can really damage the skin around the pore. I try to use the side of the loop tool and just rest my finger on the client's skin for stability, so the pressure comes from that gentle lever action, not from me pushing down. Watching my own technique back on my phone after a session has been the biggest help for me to catch stuff like that.

Right? I did the same thing after my first few clients. Watching the playback showed me I was holding my breath the whole time, no wonder I was so tense.
