A simple display at the pharmacy in Springfield made me rethink my approach

I was picking up a prescription yesterday and walked past the skincare aisle. They had a small, clear acrylic stand with three basic products: a gentle cleanser, a plain moisturizer, and a sunscreen. A little sign said 'Start Here'. It was so straightforward, no fancy claims, just the core items. It made me think about how I sometimes overcomplicate routines for new clients who are just overwhelmed. Maybe a 'start here' basket in my own treatment room would help. Do any of you have a simple, go-to starter kit you recommend to people who are totally new to caring for their skin?

My friend got so stressed trying to build a routine from scratch. I basically told her what gray_patel said, a cleanser and sunscreen, but to just use a light lotion instead of a serum. She's been fine with that for months now.

That's a solid starter trio, though I'd swap the moisturizer for a hydrating serum if someone's really oily.
