Stumbled on a dyno sheet from my own car that blew my mind

I was cleaning out my garage last weekend and found an old dyno printout from when I had my 5.0 tuned back in 2018. I always thought I was making around 350 wheel, but the sheet showed 387. I had no idea the previous owner had cams and heads done before I bought it. Has anyone else found hidden mods on a used car that surprised you?

Your 5.0 is a Coyote right? Cold air intake alone usually doesn't add much on those unless it's paired with a tune. The tuner probably dialed in the intake as part of the package, not the other way around. I've seen a few guys chase power with just a CAI and end up losing a couple hp because the stock tune gets confused.

My buddy's '16 GT was the same way... he threw a Roush CAI on there and actually lost 3 horsepower on the dyno before he got it tuned. I did the opposite with my old '14 5.0, I went with a Lund tune first and just kept the stock air box for like six months. Then later I added a JLT intake and reflashed it, and that combo picked up a solid 20 wheel horse over the stock setup. So yeah, you're right, the intake alone isn't gonna do much without the tune matching it.

Oh man that's awesome, I found a cold air intake and tune in my old Mustang I never knew about either.
