Had a lightbulb moment about door zone adjustments at a hospital in Tacoma

Watched a new guy spend 20 minutes fighting a door that just needed a 1/8 inch shim on the bottom roller. Ever since, I start every door job with a level on the sill first. What's your go-to first check for a fussy door?

Hah, that's a solid first move for sure.

Solid moves are predictable though. Everyone expects the textbook play. The real power move is doing something so weird it breaks their whole plan. Like in chess, sometimes moving a pawn sideways just to mess with their head works better than any grand strategy.

Yeah that's exactly it. Unpredictability throws people off way more than perfect execution. I've seen it plenty in negotiations too - when you flip the script they don't know how to respond. Keeps them guessing instead of countering your every move.
