My journeyman in Tampa said to always check for backfeed on a disconnect before pulling it, and last week it saved me from a real bad day.

Man, that's solid advice. I read a story once about a guy in a warehouse who went to pull a disconnect for a conveyor. Turns out some genius had wired a whole other circuit into the load side for a different machine. He caught it because his ticker lit up like a Christmas tree on the line side even with the switch off. Those hidden backfeeds are no joke, they just sit there waiting. Your journeyman knows what's up.

Totally agree, saw a hidden feed from a solar inverter once that almost got a guy.
