Debate: Should you restart a failed certification attempt or switch gears entirely?

I was in a cramped library study room last Thursday trying to pass my AWS Cloud Practitioner exam and my internet cut out 40 minutes in, losing my progress. Did you guys push through a second time on the same cert or just move to a different skill entirely?

My neighbor tried three times before passing her Cisco exam, just kept at it.

Yeah I used to be one of those people who figured if you didn't pass the first time you just weren't cut out for it. @alice808 you might not realize it but your neighbor changed my mind on that pretty quick. Three tries shows grit more than raw ability ever could. Some of the sharpest people I know failed their first shot at a cert and came back stronger. It's the ones who quit that worry me, not the ones who have to try again.
