Watched a crew in Denver use a laser level for every single sheet. It looked slow, but their finish was perfect. Are we overthinking the old chalk line method?

Yeah, the "cost of fixing one bad sheet" thing @wood.noah said is spot on. My buddy had a crew skip the laser on a big garage job, just snapped lines. They were flying, but the last wall was out by like half an inch over 16 feet. The tear-down and redo killed all their speed profit and then some. The laser feels slow until you realize it prevents those massive time sinks.
