Tried a new kind of mud pan and it was a total waste of $45

I was at the supply house last week and saw this mud pan with a built-in corner tool on the side. The guy said it would speed up inside corners, so I figured why not, it was about $45. I used it on a small bedroom job the next day, and it was a mess. The corner tool part was too stiff and left ridges I had to go back over, and the pan itself was a weird shape that made it hard to scoop mud cleanly from a bucket. I spent more time fighting the tool than I would have just using my old corner trowel and regular pan. After about an hour, I put it aside and finished the job with my usual gear. Has anyone else bought a tool that promised to make things easier but just made more work?

Oh man, that reminds me of the time I bought a "self-feeding" screwdriver that jammed on the second screw.

That $45 corner pan sounds like a total scam, man.
