The day I had to patch a hole shaped exactly like a dinosaur

Got a call for a quick repair at a house in Springfield, and the homeowner showed me a perfect, three-foot-tall stegosaurus outline punched into their kid's bedroom wall. The six-year-old 'artist' used a toy hammer after a museum trip. Took me two hours just to build up the spiky back with mud, laughing the whole time. Has anyone else had to fix a wall that looked like something from a cartoon?

Imagine the chaos if they all synchronized their meltdowns.

Does anyone else feel like that's the secret to parenting in general? Like people always overthink routines and schedules but really it's just about getting through each day without losing your cool. I've noticed that with my own kids the chaos never really stops, it just changes shape as they get older. You learn to laugh at the meltdowns because otherwise you'd be crying in the corner lol. Once you accept that Tuesday is always gonna be a little wild, life gets way easier.
