Just read that the average new house uses over 8,000 square feet of drywall
I saw that number in a report from the National Association of Home Builders. It really put into perspective how much material we go through on a big development. Has anyone else seen stats that made you think about the scale of the work?

That's a staggering amount of sheetrock. Does the report break down how much of that is waste from cuts and off-cuts versus what actually ends up on the walls? The waste factor on big sites always seemed huge, but I've never seen a hard number for it.
