PSA: That $400 online dating coaching session was a complete waste

I paid $400 to a guy who promised he could teach me how to get honest answers out of people on dating apps. He said I needed to ask better questions, like ones that catch people off guard. But after three sessions, all he gave me were generic scripts that felt fake and robotic. I tried his approach on a woman I matched with, and she called me out immediately for sounding like a salesman. The whole thing burned me because I could have just asked my friends for free advice. If you want real unfiltered answers from someone, skip the coaches and just be direct and patient. Anyone else find that paying for communication help usually backfires?

Exactly right @brianm27, that $400 stings bad. I been there with a faulty motherboard myself, ended up having to eat the return shipping plus restocking fee. Next time check if the seller has a warranty option or buyer protection, some sites let you add it for like $15. Also try charging back through your card if they won't refund, I had to do that once and got my money back in a week.
