Spotted a vintage 8-inch cutterhead dredge working the old channel near Port Townsend... looked like it was from the 60s and still running smooth.

Gotta wonder if it's actually working better or if we're just romanticizing old stuff lol. Sometimes things last because they're simple, not because they're better. My grandma's old toaster still works but it takes ten minutes and burns one side. Lasting doesn't always mean it's good.
