Switched to sketching on paper before CAD and it changed my workflow
I always used to open CAD and start drawing right away. Then I began sketching my ideas on paper first. It lets me think through the design without software getting in the way. My CAD files are cleaner and I make way fewer mistakes now. Seriously, try it for your next project.

Totally get that. I mean, in my old graphic design course, we had to sketch logos on paper before using any software. It forced us to focus on the idea, not the buttons. Kinda like your CAD thing, it made the digital part way smoother later. Idk, maybe it's just me, but starting on paper feels less stressful. Now I even sketch out week plans before putting them in my phone calendar.

My paper sketches look like a toddler got hold of a crayon. By the time I scan them, I can't even tell what the original idea was. It somehow makes the digital part more confusing, not smoother. Last week I tried sketching a website layout, and my sticky notes ended up as a paper airplane. Now I just dive into the software and hope for the best.
