PSA: Bought a $90 drafting lamp and it's a total game changer for night work

I was getting eye strain trying to check details on my screen after dark, so I grabbed this lamp with a flexible arm and a daylight bulb. Now I can light up just the area I'm working on without any glare on the monitor, and my eyes feel way better. Has anyone else found a good light setup for late drafting sessions?

Oh man, I feel that eye strain pain.

Switching my monitor to a warm yellow tint after 7 PM was a total game changer. I use an app called f.lux that does it automatically. Also, forcing myself to look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds every half hour helps a ton. It sounds simple but it actually makes a big difference by the end of the day.

Actually that 20-20-20 rule is supposed to be every 20 minutes, not every half hour. I remember reading that when I first heard about it. @nora_park72 you might want to try that too, it really does help even if it feels weird at first. But honestly f.lux is a lifesaver, I've got it set to kick in at sunset and my eyes feel way less fried after a long day. Just don't mess with the default color temperature too much or everything looks like a sepia filter gone wrong.
