Pro tip: that roof takeoff that looked like 3 hours took me 14 yesterday

I spent all day yesterday on a commercial roof takeoff that should have been maybe 3 hours tops, ended up being 14 because of weird parapet details and a ceiling height issue nobody flagged. How long do you usually budget for something that ends up taking way more time than it should?

Did you used to think plan details were usually accurate before this happened?

That "3 hours turning into 14" is brutal, but I think the real trick is that these takeoffs always balloon when you have to re-measure because the field conditions don't match the plans.
