My plotter jammed right before a big deadline in Phoenix

I had to take the whole cover off and found a tiny piece of torn vellum stuck in the feed roller. Anyone know a good trick for clearing those jams faster?

My old shop teacher swore by using a dental pick for vellum scraps.

Totally get that. My art teacher used a dental pick for scraping up dried glue, worked like a charm.
