I picked Arch over Revit for a residential project last month
Had to choose between ArchiCAD and Revit for a duplex layout in Portland. Went with ArchiCAD because the drawing set just felt cleaner for smaller projects. Took about 3 days longer to adjust the workflow but the curtain wall details came out way smoother. Anybody else switch software based on project size?

Three days? I can't believe it only took you three days to adjust to ArchiCAD coming from Revit. That's honestly impressive, most people I know spent like two weeks just figuring out where all the menus moved to. The curtain wall thing is interesting though, Revit always gave me a headache with those multi-panel setups on smaller jobs. I've been tempted to switch for residential but the thought of re-learning a whole interface makes me want to bang my head against the desk.

Oh man, three days of menu hunting and I was ready to throw my laptop out the window. Good thing I didn't because the curtain wall details actually came out looking like someone who knows what they're doing designed them, not like a blindfolded toddler with a mouse. Honest question though, is it really re-learning the whole thing or just forgetting where Revit hid all the good stuff? I feel like ArchiCAD at least puts the important buttons where your hand naturally goes instead of making you play hide and seek. Your desk will forgive you eventually.

Yup, spent a whole evening rage-quitting and suddenly remembered where everything was the next morning, classic muscle memory gaslighting. Glad your curtain walls didn't end up looking like a toddler drew them, mine usually do the first two tries.
