Had a major layer conflict on a big commercial job in Denver

I was working on the HVAC plans for a new office building, and my electrical layers got turned off by mistake. I sent a set of prints to the site that showed ductwork running right through light fixtures. The foreman called me up and said, 'You trying to make my guys into contortionists?' I had to rush a corrected set over and check every single layer state before sending anything out for the rest of that project. Has anyone else had a close call with layer management on a tight deadline?

Feels like technology always fails at the worst possible time.

Wait, did your phone actually die right before you hit send?

Ugh, layer states are no joke! That's exactly why I started naming my layer state saves with the date and a quick note like "HALF DONE DO NOT PLOT". It's saved me more than once when I'm rushing and my brain is already fried.
