PSA: Milk crates aren't always a perfect fit for pantry shelves

I spent last Saturday trying to stack milk crates in my 12-inch deep pantry cabinet. Turns out they stick out by 3 inches and now I have to re-drill the shelf pins.

Ugh that sucks, 3 inches is just enough to be super annoying.

Did you measure before you bought those crates though? Most standard milk crates are 13 by 13 inches so a 12 inch shelf would obviously be too shallow. A little planning up front could have saved you all that time re-drilling.
