Rant: I was putting up drywall wrong for 15 years until a guy in Phoenix showed me the right way to hold the drill.

Ever have that moment where a simple tip changes everything? I was using the wrong speed on my drill for ages, making the job way harder. A neighbor saw me struggling and showed me the proper technique in two minutes.

@johnb95 might be onto something with that speed dial. My neighbor showed me a trick with a corded drill years ago that I almost laughed off until I tried it. He told me to start slow and let the bit do the work instead of forcing it with high speed and pressure. I was skeptical because I figured faster meant better, but after stripping screws on a deck project for two days straight I gave it a shot. Now I check the material and bit size before I even touch the trigger more than half the time. Small changes like that can save your whole afternoon.

Used to believe you just squeeze the trigger harder. That little speed dial makes a world of difference now.
